The Golden Acorn Hunt— Official Rules

1. Follow @jenrossofficial on Instagram or TikTok, or follow Jen’s Facebook page, to get the clues. Clues are posted on all three. Links to every page are at the bottom of rossandcandor.com.
2. Clues are posted starting December 5, 2026. Each clue points toward where the Golden Acorn is hidden.
3. The first person to find the Golden Acorn and complete every claim step in Section 5 wins.

• Open to legal residents of North Carolina.
• Hunters under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while searching.
• The prize must be claimed by an adult 18 or older. If a minor finds the acorn, their parent or legal guardian claims the prize on their behalf.
• Employees of NEXA Mortgage, LLC, Ross & Candor Mortgage Group, and their immediate family members and households are not eligible to win.

The Golden Acorn is hidden in a publicly accessible location. You will always be able to reach it without damaging or destroying anything.

• You never need to dig, cut, break, pull up plants, or tear through bushes, trees or landscaping to reach it.
• Leave every place the way you found it.
• You do not need to enter any home, business, fenced or posted area, or any place closed to the public.
• Obey all posted rules, park hours and laws while you search.
• If reaching a spot would mean damaging anything or trespassing, the acorn is not there.

You will be disqualified, and lose any right to the prize, if you:

• Damage, destroy, dig up, deface or vandalize any public or private property, landscaping, plants or trees.
• Trespass on private property or enter any area closed to the public.
• Move, hide, tamper with or take the acorn before officially claiming it, or interfere with other hunters.
• Submit false, edited or staged photos or videos, or anyone else’s find as your own.
• Act unsafely, harass anyone, or break any law while searching.

You are responsible for any damage you cause. Disqualification decisions by the sponsor are final.

To be the winner, you must complete all three steps:

1. Call Jen right away. As soon as you find the Golden Acorn, call Jen Ross at 661-547-4496. Stay on site with the acorn until you have reached her or she tells you what to do next.
2. Take a photo of yourself with the acorn. Your face and the Golden Acorn must both be clearly visible.
3. Record a video of where you found it. Show the acorn in the exact spot where you found it, then pan out so the surrounding area can be recognized.

The first person to call and send both the photo and the video, and pass verification, wins. Jen will review the photo, video and location before awarding the prize. You may be asked to show a valid photo ID proving you are 18 or older (or the parent or guardian claiming for a minor). If the first claim cannot be verified, the next verified claim wins.

• Prize: One prize of $500, paid to one verified winner. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. The winner is responsible for any taxes.
• No purchase or loan necessary. Applying for a loan, or working with Jen Ross, does not improve your chances of winning.
• Void where prohibited by law. This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
• Use of your photo and video: By claiming the prize, the winner agrees that the sponsor may share the winning photo, video and first name on social media and in marketing, unless prohibited by law.
• Sponsor’s rights: The sponsor may change, pause or cancel the hunt if it cannot run as planned, for example because of weather, safety, tampering or the acorn going missing. Any change will be posted on @jenrossofficial.
• Your safety: Participants search at their own risk and release the sponsor from liability for injury, loss or damage arising from taking part.
• Social media: This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, TikTok or Facebook.
